I believe that Pharrell is one of today's most dominant entrepreneurs because he knows what the younger generation likes. He knows how to connect his music with his style in a way that no one has ever done before him. Pharrell and a partner of his named Nigo started a clothing line called Bathing Ape, and from there has moved on to other clothing lines of his own.

I do agree with the way in which Pharrell has marketed his image because by him being a music producer, he controls what type of music people hear and and what creative sound comes along with it. By him wearing his clothing in music videos, to me he's not only marketing his clothing directly to the consumer, but also giving some type of visual aspect of his music to his listeners.

I think that Pharrell has left the effect of being one of the creaters of the "New Look" of our generation. This is important because this opens the market up to new brands of style.

I do think that Simmons is today's most dominant entrepreneurs because of his success and accoplishement on making HIP HOP what it is today. He began as an inexperienced promoter of anew breed of street music, HIP HOP. Today is at the top of a multimillion-dollar entertainment company.
He is Co-owner and founder of the rap label Def Jam Records and founder of Phat Farm.

When I say "my culture", I'm referring to the generation of today's younger people and the hip-hop/rap life style, which also is the most dominant genre of music today. Jay-Z has manage to realize that in order to be a successful black entrepreneur, he must make smart business decisions with the interest of his culture in mind.

I agree with Jay-Z's ways of marketing his image 100 percent. Him being a brand of his own he has the upper hand by being a rapper; one of the greatest rappers at that. He understands that people watch his image and follows his style.

I think that this enterpreneur has created an image of himself as a ruthless competitor. There are some allegations that he stole the idea from some of his roomates at college. Yes, I agree with how they're marketing their image. Rachel started out as a waitress and then became interested in the food industry and started giving lessons on how to cook in her hometown. Rachel Ray was noticed by Oprah and got famous. Rachel then signed a contract with the Food Network for her very own show, 30 Minute Meals. The show was such a success that the network even singed her for another show, wich led to 3 more food shows added onto Ray's contract with Food Network. Ray has since then published a variety of cook books, and done comercial advertising for Dunkin' Doughnuts, and Nabisco.

How many rappers have appeared on the cover of the "Rolling Stone". He is also part owner of the New Jersey Nets, a NBA team. By the end of this year, Lebron James, probably today's most dominant NBA player, will be working for him, if he decides to sign with the Nets as his contract with the Cavaliers is ending at the end of this season.

I think Jeff Bezos is one of today's most dominate entrepreneurs because he created a company--amazon-- which has a part in a diverse set of markets. From books and music to make up and even gourmet food if you want it Amazon sells it. He did this by creating a new market in electronic commerce. This combination of uniqueness and variety is what made him the multi-millionaire that he is today.

One of the great things about Bezos is that he isn't marketing an image of luxery or decadence that so many other CEO's do. He pays himself a paltry 80, 000 dollars, as to project an image of restraint to the public and create a certain company culture. This is all mitigated of course by the fact that he gives himself a good deal of personal wealth via stock options. Projecting this image gives integrity to the brand name of Amazon.

By establishing online shopping as a serious market Bezos also set the stage for other companies having the oppertunity to innovate.
